# Stavna

> Stavna is a calorie counting app. Photograph a meal, confirm the estimate, and it comes off a daily calorie budget.

Stavna comes from the Ukrainian word ставна (STAHV-nah): a person who stands tall, straight, and in proportion. It is not a word for thinness, and the app is not a diet plan.

## Facts

- Daily calorie budget from age, height, weight, and activity.
- A photograph of a plate gets a calorie estimate. Nothing is logged until the person accepts it.
- If an ingredient is wrong, the person writes a correction. The same photo, the original description, the original calorie count, and that note are read again.
- The diary and meal photos stay on the phone. The server does not store the picture.
- For adults. A photo estimate is approximate and is not medical advice.
- Interface languages include English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, German, French, Korean, Italian, Turkish, Hindi, Dutch, Indonesian, Polish, Thai, Vietnamese, Swedish, and Ukrainian.
